The Proposition
Firstly contact us with details of the classic or modern car you wish to sell. We will advise immediately if we feel it would be suitable for our service. Generally speaking we are looking for cars in good condition without high mileage. We carry out a history check examining the mileage reading record, avoiding written off cars and checking for outstanding finance.
If all good we will carry out a detailed review of your car and physical inspection to ensure we have the right specs, condition, and mileage. We look at comparable vehicles for sale in the market to price competitively enough to attract buyers in the current market. We then advise a price that we feel we can return to you. Anything over this price will cover our costs and commission. Once you are happy with the anticipated price you can deliver the car to us or we can arrange to collect.
Appraisal and Preparation
On arrival we will have your vehicle inspected inside and out and valeted as required. If we feel that carrying out some remedial work would improve the chances of a sale we would contact you to discuss and authorise prior to proceeding. A small investment pre-sale could make a massive difference in achieving the best price possible. We have a list of sub contractors to carry out servicing, bodywork and detailing and will pass on their bills at cost to you. We will not look for money to cover any of this work prior to sale.
Price Agreement
Once this stage is complete and car is ready to sell we will draw up a written agreement outlining conditions and price as agreed including any work carried out prior to sale and a period of time. We also make it clear that you are in control of the sales process and nothing outside of the agreement will be done without your approval. As the owner, you may withdraw the car from market without incurring additional costs though reimbursement of our outlay would need to be settled.
Bringing to market
Once the vehicle is prepared and display ready we will extensively photograph your car and do a video if we feel it appropriate. Good quality photography is key to a successful sale. We will prepare a written description to use with the photos in all our ads. We have dealer websites on Carzone, Cars Ireland, Done Deal, Jammer.ie, Cars.ie, Car buyers Guide, Adverts.ie and Car and Classic. Think of the cost if you were to do this yourself!
Make the sale
We respond quickly to every lead both online and offline. We meet clients on an appointment basis at their convenience whilst adhering to Covid19 guidelines. We negotiate with buyers anonymously on your behalf and once we have the deal secured we arrange for funds to be paid promptly to you preferably by bank transfer but can arrange other methods on request.
Post sale
We look after change of ownership using the Dept of Transport online system that registered dealers can access. We can organize delivery nationwide or even worldwide for the new purchaser as an added service to them
